Given the contraints upon me of time, materials and artistic ability, photocopy art `seemed obvious', and appropriately enough, recalls the making of the Ideal Copy sleeve.  The flattened matchboxes are from the Nottingham gig, where Wire - and members of the list too - all of a sudden became real.  They put me in mind, too, of the `matchbox duet' at the Clapham grand eight years before.  So we begin to see what useful stuff Wire is for making links and connections.

It all started properly for me with the Ideal Copy; `it continues' with idealcopy@smoe, and with a dot and a dash and the odd stop and start it all goes into my ear(drum buzz)...
